I own a small bookkeeping/tax prep/consulting firm. I have several small business clients and specialize in government contractor accounting. I am looking for someone who can work 10-20 hours per week as a part-time employee and perform a variety of bookkeeping/office tasks. For example, transactions on client books (QBO Bills, Expenses, Journal Entries, etc.), bank reconciliations, responding to clients, preparing engagement letters, scanning/filing, etc.
This will be primarily a work-from-home job with the option for us to get together in person if needed. The pay range will be $20-$25 per hour depending on qualifications/experience. A pre-employment background check will be required. I believe this would be a great opportunity for someone who only needs a part-time job, or is an accounting student wanting some practical experience.
Minimum qualifications:
- Experience with QuickBooks Online, specifically entering transactions and performing bank reconciliations
- Experience with Google Workspace
- Ability to meet deadlines and follow policies/procedures
- Ability to keep client information confidential
- Customer service skills
Preferred qualifications:
- Working knowledge of accounting principles
- Experience with Gusto
- Experience with FreshBooks
- Experience with tax preparation and current CRTP
