We are a small CPA firm looking for someone whose primary role is to prepare business returns. This entails preparing a trial balance and reconciling balances to supporting documentation. A strong foundation in accounting and current tax law is required. The CPA must be able to take a deep dive into a detailed working trial balance. An understanding of what is needed to support the figures including but not limited to sales tax reconciliations, payroll tax reconciliations, loans, etc. We also have large groups of related returns which require the ability to juggle all the returns making sure intercompany accounts are correctly stated.

This position is full time. People can work from home but the preference is to be in the office half of the week. You must have a CPA license.
Requirements:
5 years experience
CPA
Preparing business tax returns.
Must know the basics of Outlook, Excel, and Word
Prior experience with QuickBooks desktop and QBO
Responsibilities include…
Preparing of trial balances
Preparing individual, S-Corp, and partnership returns is a must
Preparing fiduciary and C-Corp returns would be nice but not necessary
Tax research when necessary
