Office Admin Support

During tax season, the Office Admin Support’s duties will consist primarily of answering phone calls and emails, assembling tax returns, scanning client documents to our digital filing system, logging and providing client tax return status, reordering supplies and occasional ad hoc projects as needed. In off-peak months the duties would consist of those mentioned previously with more focus on developing employee skills in accounting and client services.

Primary Duties:

· Handle private, privileged and sensitive information with absolute confidentiality

· Assemble tax returns, financial statements and other materials

· Scan client documents to digital filing system

· Log tax return status in the online tax platform

· Order and maintain office supplies

· Answer phones, greet clients and make appointments

Duties may also include:

· Maintain schedules and calendars – arrange meetings and send invites to attendees

· Ensure the timely delivery of tax returns once completed

· Set up and maintain client information in firm database

· Process/distribute mail and respond to generic/main incoming emails

· Other duties as may be assigned

Job Qualifications

· Proficient knowledge and of MS Office products, Outlook, Word and Excel

· Comfortable learning and using new software products, firm technology and internal procedures.

· Strong communication, administrative and interpersonal skills

· Ability to balance multiple priorities and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines.

· Two to three years of prior office experience preferred.

Tax Associate

Job Responsibilities:

· Assist senior tax professionals with tax preparation, planning, compliance, and advisory services.

· Conduct research and analysis on tax laws, regulations, and guidelines to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.

· Prepare tax returns, financial statements, and related documents for individual and corporate clients.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information and ensure timely and accurate tax filings.

· Maintain organized and up-to-date records of financial transactions and tax-related documents.

· Assist in resolving tax-related inquiries and issues raised by clients and internal stakeholders.

· Stay up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and industry best practices.

Job Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.

· Strong attention to detail and the ability to work meticulously with numbers and financial data.

· Knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance procedures is desirable.

· Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, and tax preparation software.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.

· High ethical standards and the ability to handle confidential information.
