Summary of Position:
The Branch Manager is responsible for directing sales, operational & manufacturing activities; will be responsible for planning and directing of work and the development of new business as well as responding and resolving customer issues. The Branch Manager promotes quality customer service, manages local scheduling and real-time operations which facilitate the maximization of resources to achieve customer satisfaction, productivity, schedule adherence and economic goals at our San Jose facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Operations
1. Plans, directs, evaluates and delegates activities through subordinates to meet and / or exceed the customer expectations.
2. Schedule all operation activities to ensure on-time delivery.
3. Ensure maintenance of vehicles and equipment; including maintaining an adequate level of equipment.
4. Ensure all federal, state and local licensing, training, and certifications are satisfied.
5. Identify and update metrics that will utilize resources and skills to ensure quality.
6. Ensure environmental compliance with state and county regulations.
7. Prepare and maintain reports for corporate office.
8. Maintain adequate levels of inventory at all times.
Customer Relations
1. Builds strong business relationships with customers and vendors.
2. Identify and develop new business contracts.
3. Resolve all inquires and/or complaints in a timely and efficient manner.
4. Projects a favorable image of the companies to promote its aims and objectives and foster and enhance public recognition and acceptance of all of its areas of endeavor.
Employee Relations
1. Coordinate with Human Resources Department for recruiting, disciplining and terminating subordinate staff.
2. Track employee activities utilizing Employee Time system.
3. Provide technical advice and support to powder coaters, welders, and sales team, weaving department, fabricators, and yard personnel.
4. Evaluate performance of employees.
5. Reviews ongoing performance results to targets. takes corrective measures with authorization, escalate as needed
Cost Control
1. Prepare monthly forecasts, annual operating plan, and strategic planning.
2. Perform audits of bills of materials to ensure product costs are accurate and accounted for properly.
Health and Safety
1. Ensure compliance with organizations safety program and adherence to proper safety practices.
2. Conduct safety meetings
Qualifications -Knowledge Skills and Abilities
1. 5-8 years management experience in related field.
2. Must have effective verbal and written communication skills.
3. Ability to develop and maintain effective interpersonal relations with customer, vendors and employees.
4. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook and Internet Explorer
5. Experience supervising, coaching and developing staff
6. Knowledge of and ability to develop corporate level strategic plans, operating objectives, health and safety practices, risk management, and total quality management programs.
7. Ability to provide positive leadership working towards achieving company goals.
8. Ability to work with a diverse workforce, motivating them to achieve corporate goals.
9. Possession of a valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance adequate to the demands of the Corporation’s insurance carrier.
10. Ability and willingness to travel.
11. Willingness to engage in continuous personal and professional development.
12. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
