Park Place Asset Management is looking for a Director of Property Management to oversee nineteen well maintained apartment communities in California and Washington State. This position is based in our corporate office in Walnut Creek California. This position is heavily focused on the supervision and management of our properties with the help of our experienced support staff.
We require a results oriented, hands-on Property Manager to supervise operations of the properties and meet owner objectives Including income and capital improvement goals. Primary duties will be to oversee 12 California properties totaling 1500 units and help out with portfolio as needed. Must be willing to roll up your sleeves and get things done! Position requires strong leadership, personnel management and recruiting, marketing, training and close attention to details. In-depth hands-on facilities experience is important, including oversight of capital improvement projects. You must be self-disciplined and able to manage your time and set priorities effectively. You will report directly to the owner’s representative.
You must have previous multisite experience and be able to do the following:
Recruit and hire site staff.
Develop and appropriately manage office and maintenance staff.
Review prospective resident applications and credit worthiness.
Visit properties regularly to inspect, observe and support the staff.
Manage projects and vendors.
Prepare agendas and conduct quarterly meeting with staff in CA and WA.
Possess working knowledge of state rental law including Fair Housing.
Support the site staff at all times. Always answer their calls, especially on weekends and holidays. They have the
toughest job and deserve our support at all times.
Quarterly Travel to WA.
This is a challenging position and we are looking for someone that is proactive, not reactive. You must be a motivated self-starter and be able to juggle changing priorities.
