Salary: $141,752.76 - $171,648.13 Annually

The Director, Purchasing reports to the Associate Superintendent or designee to manage the central purchasing function of the District, including contract preparation, review and administration; to develop and implement District-wide purchasing policies and procedures; to oversee the operation of the District warehouse, mail service, duplicating services, courier and the personal property control system; and to perform other job-related duties as required.

Education:
Equivalent to the completion of a full four-year course of study leading to a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
Five years of increasingly responsible experience in the purchasing field. A valid certificate as Certified Purchasing Manager issued by the National Association of Purchasing Managers or the California Association of Public Purchasing Officers will be accepted for up to two years of experience.
