JOB PURPOSE:
In this role, you are the first and last point of contact for our staff, visitors, and service providers. The Operations Specialist is providing a service that encompasses hospitality, security, risk management, and support to the Stanford Redwood City Operations team.
You are an articulate self-starter who enjoys being around people, is enthusiastic about customer service and thrives in fast paced environments. You are a skilled multitasker who can work independently and follow-through with tasks.
CORE DUTIES:
Greeting, signing in and routing visitors to appropriate staff and meeting areas.
Answering emails and ensuring calls are properly directed and serve as a resource for general campus inquiries.
Ensure adherence to security by following procedures, monitoring systems, issuing, and tracking visitor badges.
Serve as point of contact for general questions, maintenance, health and safety and other facility and service-related concerns within building or campus.

English language fluency.
Business writing acumen to originate and respond to correspondence.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks.
Frequently sitting.
Occasionally stand/walk, reach/work above shoulders, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, grasp forcefully, use a telephone, sort/file paperwork or parts, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.
Rarely twist/bend/stoop/squat, kneel/crawl.
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.

Schedule: 9:00am-6:00pm (Monday-Friday) 2-month contract
