Are you a vibrant senior (roughly 50-70 years old) who wants to enable an older senior to remain in the home they love for as long as possible? Seniors Helping Seniors® Santa Cruz & Gilroy is a new, peer-based in-home care provider, and we’re looking for compassionate, mature adults to join our team serving Morgan Hill, Gilroy, and Hollister. If you understand the difficulties a family caregiver experiences and want to offer respite, or you’ve just been looking for meaningful and flexible part-time employment, we want to meet you.
We provide paid training and will help you through the process of becoming a licensed California home care aide. Working hours are flexible, and based upon your availability. We match you with a compatible older senior who needs your companionship and assistance. Duties are non-medical and may include light housework, meal preparation, medication reminders, driving to appointments, and in some cases assistance with the activities of daily living such as monitoring bathing and toileting. It’s possible that you've already had the opportunity to serve an older loved one in one or more of these ways.
