We’re looking for a friendly, detail-oriented individual to join our team at a busy local dry cleaning shop. This is a part-time position focused on customer service at the front counter but may expand to include other parts of the operation.
Position: Part-Time Front Counter Associate
Schedule: Part-time (weekday availability required; Mondays and Fridays are a must)
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience and aptitude
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist customers dropping off or picking up clothes.
Operate the register, manage tickets, and process payments.
Answer phones, assist with customer inquiries.
Mark garments for cleaning, laundering, or alterations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of front-of-house and common areas.
Cross-train in back-of-house tasks (e.g., pressing, assembly) as needed.
Support a positive customer experience and smooth shop operations.
Requirements:
Strong multitasking ability and comfort handling peak-time pressure.
Friendly and professional with good communication skills.
Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Willingness to learn and contribute to a team environment.
Nice to Have:
Previous customer service or retail experience.
Familiarity with dry cleaning or garment handling (not required — we will train the right person!).
