Owen Equipment Sales is looking to hire an experienced Parts Counter Sales Associate to join our growing team. We areone of the largest Vactor and Elgin dealers in the United States and sell, service and rent sewer cleaners, vacuum excavators, street sweepers and related accessories. We are the largest supplier in the Western U.S. of replacement brushes and brooms for sweeping equipment. We maintain five full-service locations in Portland, Oregon; Kent, Washington; Spokane, Washington; Fairfield, California; and Salt Lake City, Utah and our customer base consists of the largest municipalities and contractors in the Western U.S. Our equipment is critical to keeping our streets and sewer systems clean, locating buried infrastructure during construction projects, and helping to build and maintain our electrical grid.

Salary:$23 - $25 an hour depending on experience.

Parts Counter Sales Job Duties:

Taking and filling parts orders over the phone and in person

Purchasing stock orders

Fulfillment of work order parts

Writing repair orders and filling warranty claims

Shipping orders

Follow up on sales orders

Provide necessary details for invoicing

Requirements:

Prior sales - counter and telephone order experience required

Excellent customer service skills to promote customer satisfaction, problem resolution and loyalty

Effective and articulate interpersonal and human relations skills

Knowledge of government and municipal sales a plus

Experience with shipping and freight management a plus (UPS/LTL)

Must have good computer skills

Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
