Position: After school Teacher Aide/Transportation Aide
Shift: 4 hours (between 2:20 pm - 6:30 pm); Monday - Friday
Location: Petaluma, CA
Start Date: As soon as possible
Cypress School Adaptive Behavior Program (After School) provides specialized Autism and Behavioral Services for children and young adults with Autism and other developmental disabilities. Aides are trained to use evidence based practices to support client engagement in community settings and maintain a fun learning environment. We are looking for positive, creative, engaging, and flexible individuals to join our team.
Job Overview:
● Work with Students: Engage in physical and social community-based activities; teach functional life, independent living, functional communication, vocational, and sensory regulation skills; Enjoy recreation/leisure activities alongside our clients and celebrate their efforts.
● Support: Implement after-school activities; Brainstorm new activities/opportunities; Motivate and engage clients to promote self-confidence and independence; Multi-task to ensure safety and participation in activities while tracking data.
Requirements:
● Must be 18 years or older, High School Diploma
● Clear driving record, Clean criminal record (fingerprint clearance required)
● Negative TB test
● Preference for applicants with previous experience working with students with autism and similar disabilities, RBT’s, or BA.
