Are you a caring and enthusiastic individual who loves working with young children? San Anselmo Preschool is seeking a warm, dedicated Assistant Teacher to join our play-based early childhood program.
At our Center, we believe in supporting the growth of each child in an emotionally nurturing environment that encourages self-acceptance, exploration, and joy in learning. Our play-based program encourages children to explore and learn through art, music, dramatic play, nature, and hands-on activities that inspire curiosity and joy.
What You’ll Do
Support Teachers in creating a warm classroom environment.
Nurture children’s curiosity and independence through play, exploration, and positive guidance.
Foster strong, caring relationships with children, families, and fellow teachers.
Assist with daily routines, classroom setup, and cleanup.
What We’re Looking For
Experience working with young children (preschool or early childhood setting preferred but not required).
Early Childhood Education (ECE) units or willingness to enroll in coursework preferred but not required for an assistant position.
A gentle, patient, and positive approach with children.
Ability to be flexible, work collaboratively, and be a supportive team player.
Works well as part of a team and contributes positively to a collaborative environment.
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
