Dance/10 Performing Arts Center is a family and community-centered performing arts center in Alameda, California. Our customers are always pleased with our use of age-appropriate and tasteful choreography, music, and costumes for children and adults.
At Dance/10, our slogan is “we make memories that last a lifetime!” We aim to create a nurturing environment for students of all ages and skill levels. We have enjoyed multiple generations of dancers taking to our floors over the past 40 years. Instilling a passion for dance for life is one of our driving goals.
We are seeking energetic, experienced, and passionate dance instructors for all ages 2 through adult.

We are looking for individuals who can commit to an entire dance season (August 2024-July 2025). Currently seeking instructors for afternoons into early evening times. Also, Saturday and Sunday morning opportunities are available. Instructors who are versed in multiple styles of dance are encouraged to apply.
QUALIFICATIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Minimum two years experience teaching dance (or preschool movement).
Professional dance experience and/or BA/BFA in dance preferred.
Punctual, Organized, Responsible, and Reliable.
Great classroom management skills.
Be able to deliver clear instructions and expectations to students.
Building a classroom culture in which students love to dance.
Comfortable interacting with parents in a professional manner.
Able to create age-appropriate choreography, select age-appropriate music/costuming.
Interested in a collaborative environment with our instructors and staff.
Experience with dance competition is a plus, but not required.
Available to assist with extra events through the dance season (such as Community Performances, Performance Rehearsals, Photo Days, Annual Performances in December and July, Summer Camps, etc.)
