Cross and Crown Lutheran School (CCLS), offers Preschool - 5th Grade. We are a school where teachers, parents, and students work together to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ within a comprehensive academic environment. We prepare our students with the skills and knowledge necessary to prepare them for leadership in our ever-changing world. Through individual attention and small class sizes, our experienced educators are committed to developing responsible Christian citizens by teaching core subjects and a fine arts curriculum according to the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) educational approach.

Opportunity:
- Teach classes as assigned, following the prescribed curriculum as scheduled by the Administrator.
- Affect student learning through mastery of the subject material, by using valid teaching techniques to achieve mastery of the school’s standards and curriculum goals within the framework of the State of California.
- Demonstrate mastery of all subject materials.
- Respect the intrinsic value of each child through attention to his/her spiritual, physical, social, and developmental needs.
- Plan broadly through the use of yearly, trimester, and daily lesson plans.
- Use a variety of effective instructional aids, methods, and materials that will provide for creative teaching.
- Plan a balanced use of field trips, guest speakers, and other media.
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of each student's progress by recording written observations, by keeping regular and accurate attendance and grade records, by providing required progress reports, and by informing parents and administration of concerns over a child's progress or behavioral or academic needs.
- Accept, adhere to, and promote the school's mission, vision, and philosophy statements.
- Maintain a clean, attractive, and orderly classroom.
- Inform the Administrator if you are in need of a substitute. Prepare adequate information, lesson plans, and materials for a substitute teacher.
- Follow the school-approved discipline policies and procedures.
- Know and execute school emergency procedures.
- Be knowledgeable of the school's philosophy, theoretical background, policies, program curriculum, and routine.
- Supervise extra-curricular activities, and outings as assigned. Attend and supervise School Sundays, and participate in a minimum of 2 fund-raising activities. Attend at least 3 PATT (Parents and Teachers Organized Together) meetings in rotation with other elementary teachers.
Qualifications:
- The teacher shall be a college graduate who holds a valid California teaching credential.
