The American Academy of English has been teaching adult ESL students for over 40 years helping them achieve their academic, professional and personal growth. Our main campus is located in the San Francisco Civic Center with auxiliary classrooms in Oakland, San Mateo, and (soon) San Jose.
We are looking for Part-time ESL teachers to join our teaching team. Candidate must be highly-qualified, experienced in teaching ESL and enthusiastic for our diverse student body. Candidate must also be able to teach all components of ESL: grammar, reading, writing, listening, speaking and vocabulary.
Pay Rate:
starts at $30/hour
Minimum Requirements:
Hold a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of three (3) months of full-time equivalent ESL or foreign language classroom teaching experience; or
Hold a bachelor’s degree along with a certificate in teaching ESL or a foreign language that includes a practice teaching component
TESOL, TEFL or CELTA certification or an MA in a related field preferred
