Pacific Chess Academy looks for experienced chess instructors interested in teaching elementary school students grades K-5.
This is a part-time job performed at schools as an afterschool enrichment program.
The job requires:
Solid teaching chess experience- minimum 2 years
Good class management skills
Reliable transportation
Great communication skills
Knowledge of chess tactics & strategy

Classes will start in January 2026; we can offer only a couple of hours per week, but the pay is good. We have openings in Lafayette, Walnut Creek, Orinda, Concord. Normal hours are 2-3 PM, or 3-4 PM.
The company provides curriculum, chess equipment (boards & sets).
