Dynamic family of 5 based in SF seeks a seasoned Family Assistant to join their team and serve as the “CEO” of their teenage daughters busy lives. This is an exceptional opportunity for a responsible, kind, and caring individual who can offer stability and flexibility to two sweet, funny, and creative teenage girls. The family has a strong team of long-time employees and is interested in finding a team player who brings compassion, humor, and thoughtfulness into their home.
Job tasks include:
- All driving including to and from school, extracurricular activities, and appointments.
- Calendar management of all school, medical, and extracurricular activities, including but not limited to athletics, dance, carpools, play dates, sleepovers, and travel. Impeccable attention to detail and organization is required!
- Oversight of medical appointments, communication with doctor’s offices and medication pick up
- Assistance with homework as needed
- Preparing girls for travel by creating checklists, helping with packing, ensuring any medications are included, and verifying passports are on hand.
- Management and organization of the girls’ possessions, including clothing, electronics, school supplies, toys, etc.
- Running errands as needed
- Ability to travel occasionally to either the two other family homes (in the Bay Area and overseas) as well as stay with the girls as needed if both parents are out of town.
Specifics:
We are open to either a full time or part time FA. Full time hours would be 11am - 7pm M-F (with some room for flexibility), part time hours would be 12pm to 6 pm M-F. We are open to shifting the schedule around to accommodate the right candidate, but want to make sure there is afternoon coverage for driving and homework help.
Compensation: $30-$35/hour to start
Requirements:
- A minimum three years of experience as a family assistant or nanny
- Experience working with older children and teens
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision, but also work well with a team
- Ability to occasionally travel with the family domestically or internationally. Domestic travel generally is within the Bay Area or to southern California. International travel is generally to Fiji 2-3 times per year, but may include other locations.
- Verifiable references
- Clean background check and driving record
- College degree strongly preferred
- Ability to maintain confidentiality. An NDA will be required.
