INTERIM MATH TEACHER (November- May): Short-Term Position
Mercy High School Burlingame, an all-girls college preparatory secondary school, has an opening for a temporary part-time teacher October 2024- May 2025. Applicants can should distinguish if they are interested in full time (Monday through Friday 8AM-3PM) or part time (Monday through Friday from 8:15-11:15AM or 11:45-2:45PM.)
Teachers have the opportunity to work in a small school environment, with class sizes ranging from 10-25 students.
We are looking for applicants who can use engaging lessons to teach and support foundational math skills that will carry students throughout their lives. The position will include instructional periods of teaching Algebra, Geometry, and Algebra II. The interim math teacher will be responsible for lesson planning, lesson delivery, grading, and communication with students and their parents.
Minimal qualifications:
B.A. in Math or a related field
Experience teaching in a secondary school environment
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
CA Secondary Teaching Credential
Master’s Degree in English, education, or related topic
Salary Non-exempt $13,500- 27,000 depending on hours worked.
