Private School in Lafayette has a Middle School Team and needs a coach. We play about 10-12 dates each year, for about half the dates we play both JV and Varsity games (JV features 5th and 6th graders). This is a great group of kids, some new to organized play and some on local club teams. Our goal is for all to grow as players and people and have a good time.
When: Practices in December and early January (flexible to the schedule of the coach). Games on Tuesdays and Thursdays (mostly) from January 14 to February 14, one round robin tournament on Sunday, February 2nd from 12-5.
Support from me, Head of School and Manager of the Basketball Team. We have a nice outdoor court at the school, access to the Tice Gym in Walnut Creek for four dates and play 4-5 road games. We expect there may be one or two schedule conflicts given this is a part-time engagement. We have a backup coach, me most of the time. As Manager I’ll attend most of the games as well.
Compensation: $1,250- $1,500
