RCM Healthcare Services is now hiring for substitute paraeducators and behavior technicians for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year and beyond. Our substitute role is great for students or anyone looking for additional income! Potential for full-time assignments as well! As a Special Education Paraeducator, you will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse learning needs within SFUSD. Working closely with special education teachers and other educational professionals, you will provide personalized assistance and guidance to students with disabilities, fostering their academic, social, and emotional growth. Your dedication to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment will contribute to the success and well-being of our students.
Key Responsibilities:
-Assist Special Education Teachers: Collaborate closely with special education teachers to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and other instructional strategies tailored to students' specific needs.
-Provide One-on-One Support: Offer personalized support to students with disabilities in various academic subjects, helping them understand and complete assignments and tasks.
-Behavioral Support: Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and provide positive behavioral support to manage and redirect challenging behaviors.
-Assist with Personal Care: Help students with daily living activities, including toileting, feeding, and mobility, if required.
Qualifications:
-48 college credits completed OR parapro certificate
-Previous experience working with students with disabilities is highly desirable.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with students of diverse abilities.
-Ability to adapt to the changing needs of students and the classroom environment.
-Willingness to undergo background checks and meet all state and district requirements.
