Part-time Caregiver, YoungToddlers (Temporary)

We are excited to announce an immediate temporary part time opportunity for a caregiver to young toddlers in the infant room. This could be a great position for a student or someone interested in the childcare field who is not ready or able to work full time. The schedule is Monday-Friday noon-6PM through mid December 2025.

We are a high quality, NAEYC accredited, preschool and childcare, enriching children’s lives and the community since 1985. We are conveniently located in Redwood City, close to public transportation, highway access, parks and shopping. The environment has been specially designed, from the age-specific furnishings, to the children’s garden setting and park-quality playground, nestled in an established Redwood City neighborhood. Our play-based curriculum and parent partnership focus on NAEYC best practices and make learning fun.

Key Responsibilities:

Work with the lead infant teacher to interact with, observe and support young toddler's growth.

Assist in maintaining a safe clean, nurturing and organized environment.

Assist in supervision of indoor and outdoor activities.

Maintain respectful interactions with children, parents and other teachers.

Demonstrate an understanding of stages of infant development, and communicating progress with parents.

Fluent in English.

Qualifications:

3 college units in early childhood education (ECE) minimum.

6 months’ experience in a childcare setting working with infants, preferred.

At least 18 years of age.

Ability to pass background check

TB Test and Health Screening with proof of vaccinations

Pediatric First Aid and CPR Certificate, preferred

Complete 3 hours online Infectious Disease Prevention training (we pay for your time), and 3 hours online Sexual Harassment Awareness ( we pay for your time).

Able to lift 30 pounds chest high; bend, kneel for working with young children.
