We are looking to expand our team with enthusiastic, creative and passionate teacher assistant who will work hard to instill the love of learning in children ages 2.5 - 5.5 years of age. Teacher Assistant Qualifications: Applicants must have at least 3 Early Childhood Education units and willing to continue to take more ECE classes to meet the 12 unit requirement. Work hours are from 10:30 to 5:00pm 3 -5 days a week and possibility of working additional days.
Job duties: Include but not limited to maintaining a safe and caring atmosphere, supporting best practices, light snack prep, cleaning and support the teachers to keep the day run smoothly. You will have the opportunity to work closely with other teachers in the classroom to build your teaching skills and confidence in a classroom setting. Training provided.
The ideal candidates must have strong organizational, communication and problem solving skills.
-Be able to communicate efficiently and respectfully with co-workers and parents.
-Be reliable, self-directed, and dedicated in their job performance
-MUST maintain excellent attendance, be flexible and be reliable
-Fingerprint and TB clearance necessary

Little Star is an established, state-licensed preschool and child care center operating in the Sunset District in San Francisco. It is a wonderful school community that offers a family-like environment for the children, families, and teachers it serves.
