We are a Montessori preschool founded in 2004 that serves children aged 2 - 6 years of age at our unique and stunning waterfront property at the Richardson Bay Audubon Society. Providing tremendous indoor-outdoor learning opportunities in a nature-rich environment. Harmony enjoys a reputation for excellence, a skilled faculty, hard-working staff and a supportive parent body.

Grounded in the wisdom of Maria’s Montessori’s prepared environment philosophy, and embracing some of the Waldorf approach of using the work of the home as curriculum, Harmony offers a rich experiential and nature based program. The professional environment is collaborative and innovative, with an emphasis on positive thinking. Laughter is appreciated.

We are currently looking for bright young people who are interested in the field of early childhood education, as well as a highly motivated, experienced teacher with proven classroom management and strong communication skills.

Experienced teacher candidates should demonstrate:

Comfort and capability with children, ages 2 through 6 years

Possession of (or willingness to acquire) 12 units of early childhood credit

Assistant Teacher candidates should demonstrate:

Job Description:

Duties include preparing snack, monitoring and guiding children through the daily rhythm, tidying the classroom. The assistant supports the teachers to provide an exceptional nurturing environment for our youngest students. Patience and good communication skills are required qualities for the position.

Salary will be competitive, based on training, credentials, and experience. Early Childhood and/or Montessori training is welcome but not required. Benefits include access to 401k. We are closed for the major holidays. We are also happy to support continued education in ECE and Montessori.

All potential employees must pass a background check and be Mandated Reporter certified per childcare licensing requirements. CPR training is also preferred.
