Broadway Children's School of Oakland is seeking an experienced and caring part-time Early Childhood Educator to teach with a warm and professional team in a play-based preschool program for 3 to 5-year-olds. Starting immediately, routine hours for this position are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:15 AM to 4:00 PM, with potential for additional hours subbing on Tuesdays and Thursdays, as well as teaching in the summer school program. The school year runs from mid-August through early June. Summer school generally runs for an additional 5 weeks, through mid-July.
Broadway has been serving children and families in Oakland since 1952 with child-centered preschool and toddler programs that support all domains of learning. Minimum qualifications:
At least 12 ECE/CD units, to include the 3 core courses
Prior experience with children ages 3-5 years old
The ability to incorporate developmentally appropriate practice into teaching methods
Compensation:
Competitive hourly wage (DOE)
