A small well established Montessori preschool located in the Terra Linda area of San Rafael, is hiring for a preschool teacher for the toddler 2/3 classroom. We are seeking a team player, who is a self starter, creative, energetic, a professional who enjoys working with young children. Each candidate must have a respectful, nurturing, and loving spirit, (and a love for Montessori education-we are happy to train an interested teacher). There is room to grow.
Teacher (2-3 year olds) F/T Must be able to work until 6pm
Teacher Qualifications:
Documentation of 12 ECE units
Montessori experience desired but not required
A minimum of one year teaching experience in a preschool classroom.
Must be able to lift and move up to 30 pounds (children) reach, bend, squat, and kneel.
Job Responsibilities
Supervising children and attending to their everyday needs physically and emotionally
Able to plan art projects, curriculum and assist in setting up the learning environment
Able to lead circle, and guide the children in their growth and development.
Able to observe children in their daily routines and guide them when needed
Maintaining positive relationships with the teachers, parents, and children/excellent written and verbal communication
