Our facility is nestled in the rolling hills of Terra Linda. As an Outdoor Classroom, we spend a significant portion of any given day outdoors embracing the seasons as they affect the natural world. We are looking for teachers who have an interest in nature and can inspire children to be curious. If you are flexible, responsible, and can develop an engaging hands-on curriculum for Preschool, we need you.
Duties and Responsibilities:
● Communicate and collaborate with other teachers to create and design a developmentally appropriate environmentally conscious curriculum
● Nurture curiosity and value-based education
● Allow time for 21 hours of professional growth each year to further knowledge in ECE, Outdoor Classroom, Supporting Social/Emotional Development Strategies
● Be punctual, flexible, and dependable
Qualifications:
● Shall meet state requirements for a preschool teacher –12 ECE units
● Appreciate a value-based education
● Curiosity and Interest in exploring diverse ecosystems and the outdoor classroom philosophy
● Shall be able to articulate clearly and carry out the objectives of Santa Margarita Children’s Center
● Shall be a person sensitive to the needs of others, warm and caring personality love for children and learning
● Open-minded, respectful, and sensitive to differing thoughts and cultures
● Physically and emotionally healthy
● Committed to creating an inclusive and equitable learning environment
Details:
Full time: 8 hours Starting: Immediate Pay: $23-$27
