ONE APPLICATION, THREE CAMPS:
Kennolyn Camps operates two separate camps on our privately owned 450 acres of redwoods in the Santa Cruz Mountains - both a day and overnight camp on opposite ends of the property. We also operate another overnight camp on Huntington Lake. Choose the camp that fits you best - live locally and drive or ride the bus to Day Camp OR live at one of our Overnight Camps where housing and food are provided and immerse yourself in our community.
POSITIONS: Counselor, Lifeguard, Activity Specialist, Coordinator, and Leadership roles.
ACTIVITIES: equestrian, swimming, art, music, climbing, gardening, dance, BMX, fencing, self-defense, and more!
TRAINING PROVIDED: We train you with certifications available in Red Cross Lifeguarding & High Ropes.
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Eligible to work in the US.
Day Camp - high school graduate.
Overnight Camp - 18 years old and completed one year of school/work.
Good character, integrity, and adaptability.
Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience, and self-control.
DAY CAMP SANTA CRUZ MOUNTAINS (June 4-August 8):
Variety of fun activities at an authentic summer camp. Work hard during the day and enjoy your evenings and weekends at home. Option to save gas and ride our bus to camp each day. Hours are 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday with July 4th off. Dates are flexible (including time off for finals) for qualified applicants. Starting pay is $16.50/hr or $5775/ten-week season. Located at 8209 Hacienda Lane, Soquel, CA.
OVERNIGHT CAMP SANTA CRUZ MOUNTAINS (June 4-August 9):
Join us in our village tucked away in the redwoods just a few miles from the beach. Turn your hobby into a job and make new friends from around the world. With food and lodging taken care of and being surrounded by new friends you'll make memories to last a lifetime. Starting pay is $561/wk or $5610/ten-week season. Located at 8400 Glen Haven Rd, Soquel, CA.
OVERNIGHT CAMP HUNTINGTON LAKE (June 7-August 3):
This small, tight-knit camp south of Yosemite in the Sierras provides tons of fun kayaking, waterskiing, and more on a quiet alpine lake. Starting pay is $561/wk or $2244/four-week season. Located at 60900 La Salle Ln, Lakeshore, CA.
JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:
Keep track of campers' dietary, medical, social, and physical needs.
Coordinate your cabin’s daily schedule of activities and manage transitions.
Mediate any conflicts that may arise between campers.
Report any notable concerns or incidents to leadership staff.
Instruct activities daily that are fun, engaging, and safe.
