Afterschool program in San Mateo, CA looking to fill 2 part-time positions as a teaching assistant and a driver. Start date will be in October 2024.
As a teaching assistant, you will:
- Preparing materials (creating syllabuses/lesson plans, assignments)
- Providing homework help
- Ensuring the safety and security of all students
- Ensuring acceptable classroom behaviors among students
- Communicating effectively with both parents and students
- Teaching students from K-5th grade to read and write Chinese
- Following center manager's additional guidelines and requirements
The hours are M-F (2pm-6pm, 20 hours total per week)
College students are preferred
Experience working with children preferred
Requirements:
- Must live in bay area
- Must be able to legally work in California
- Must have valid CA driver's license
