Job Description:
Due to the WCCUSD teachers strike, we need extra staff starting this Thursday, Dec 4th and/or Friday, Dec 5th.
We’re looking for a friendly, reliable assistant to help with our kids’ strike day camp, with flexible hours anytime between 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
There are also ongoing opportunities to help with our school-year camps and after-school program, with flexible days Monday through Friday.
What you’ll be doing:
Supervising and engaging with kids ages 4–11
Helping run games, crafts, sports, and creative play
No martial arts experience required — you will NOT be teaching or assisting with martial arts
Accompanying kids on park trips (weather permitting)
Light setup and cleanup
What we’re looking for:
Responsible and great with kids
Good communicator with positive energy
Able to work independently and with a team
Studying childhood development, education, psychology, recreation, or a related field is a plus
No experience necessary beyond enjoying working with kids
Hours & Pay:
Start as early as Thursday, Dec 4th
Flexible shifts between 8 AM – 6 PM
Part-time availability
Ongoing work available after the strike (camps and after-school program)
