General Contractor based in the South Bay seeks a Project Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities include:
Support the Project Manager & Superintendent by overseeing various aspects of the project.
Manage RFIs, submittals, daily logs, schedules, and any safety documentation required for the project.
Project planning, scheduling, quality control, cost management, and site safety enforcement.
Monitor schedule and budgets. Ensure the drawings and specifications are being followed. Monitor and manage the site on a daily basis.
Collaborate with all stakeholders (i.e. Owner, Architect, Engineer, Subcontractors, City Officials, etc.) on the project to ensure smooth operations.
Assist with management of Change Order Requests.
Required skills and qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in either Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. May be substituted with work experience.
-Strong understanding of construction principles, building codes, and safety regulations.
-Proficient in project management software and tools (Procore)
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team
-Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
-Experience in field engineering or construction management is preferred. (2) years minimum preferred.
-Position is located on site at a project (Los Altos, CA).
