Construction Superintendent

We are a San Francisco-based construction firm specializing in public sector projects, focusing on building improvements and tenant improvements. We are currently seeking a Full-Time Superintendent to join our growing team.

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated leader with a strong background in field supervision, site management, and safety enforcement. The Superintendent will be responsible for on-site operations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

Site Supervision & Leadership: Manage all on-site activities, subcontractors, and labor teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Schedule & Coordination: Work closely with Project Managers and trade contractors to maintain project timelines.

Safety Compliance: Enforce safety regulations, conduct site inspections, and ensure adherence to OSHA standards and company policies.

Quality Control: Review plans, specifications, and submittals to ensure work is completed according to project requirements.

Problem-Solving & Risk Management: Identify potential site issues, implement solutions, and communicate concerns to the Project Manager.

Daily Reporting & Communication: Maintain job logs, progress reports, and attend site meetings with project stakeholders.

Material & Equipment Oversight: Coordinate deliveries, manage site logistics, and ensure proper use of materials and equipment.

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

Experience as a Superintendent in public sector and federal construction.

Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and site logistics.

OSHA 30 certification.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Experience with Procore is a plus.

Skills & Knowledge:

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.

Strong leadership, organization, and time management skills.

Excellent problem-solving abilities and ability to make quick, informed decisions on-site.

Effective verbal and written communication skills for daily reports and meetings with project teams and owners.

Knowledge of construction safety regulations and quality control measures.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work on-site daily, walk active construction sites, and manage outdoor and indoor conditions.
