We are looking for an experienced farm hand to help with our farm. Must have experience with live chickens, turkeys, ducks and other fowl.
What your day will look like:
- Morning feed and water
- Afternoon open and set up electric predator prevention fencing and turn out chickens & turkeys.
- Put all chickens and turkeys away in the coop, feed them and roll up the Premiere 1 temporary electric fencing and put it away next to the coop.
- Clean chicken/turkey coop on top of surfaces, and floor as needed.
- Clean waters and refill with fresh water.
- Clean poop out of feed bowls.
- Lay down fresh bedding daily in coop.
- Clean out nesting boxes often. Muck out chicken coop every 3 days.
- Sprinkle lime or diatomaceous earth as needed.
- Make repairs if anything breaks in the coop.
- Clean duck coop
- Clean water buckets and fill with fresh water daily.
- Muck out duck coop once a week.
- Lay down fresh bedding once a week or as needed in the nesting area.
- Dump out duck pools at the end of each day.
- Other duties not mentioned here
Requirements:
- Driver's License
- Must speak English
- Nonsmoker
- Vehicle
- Must pass background check
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
