We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Floor Plan Measurer to join our team based in Contra Costa County. This is a part-time opportunity ideal for a current college student or someone looking for flexible, gig-based work. The role involves traveling to residential homes in Contra Costa and Alameda County to measure and create accurate 2D floor plans and basic site plans using AutoCAD.
Key Responsibilities:
Travel to residential homes in Contra Costa and Alameda County to take accurate measurements of floor plans directly into AutoCAD. No hand sketching or paper documenting of measurements allowed.
Use AutoCAD to create detailed 2D floor plans and basic site plans.
Ensure all measurements and plans are precise and meet company standards.
Work independently and efficiently, managing your schedule and project deadlines.
Communicate availability with team and clients as needed.
Requirements:
MUST BE RELIABLE AND SHOW UP ON TIME.
AutoCAD experience required, with an understanding of creating 2D floor plans and basic site plans. We are willing to train the right candidate with less direct experience.
Must have your own reliable car and laptop.
Ability to travel to residential properties in Contra Costa County (80%) and some in Alameda County (20%).
Current college student or someone looking for part-time gig work.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Additional Information:
Willing to train someone with basic AutoCAD experience, and open to treat this an internship.
Fluctuating work schedule: Work volume varies throughout the year, with peak seasons from March to April and again in August.
This position offers flexible hours (weekday, weeknight, and weekends), allowing you to balance school or other commitments.
