Role Description
Aleck Wilson Architects is seeking a talented and design-oriented Intermediate Architect with 6-10 years of residential experience. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary based on experience. Our spacious office is located in Sausalito in a beautiful, relaxed environment with expansive views of the Bay and an easy commute over the Golden Gate Bridge or from the North Bay. We are pleased to be collaborating 4 days in the office and 1 day remote.
The Intermediate Architect will have both design and detailing responsibilities and therefore successful candidates tend to be well-rounded individuals who enjoy variety in their work. We also look for individual strengths and how these might work well to compliment the current staff and offer opportunities for leadership.
Experience
A Bachelor or Master of Architecture is required
At least 6-10 years of professional work experience
Technical Skills
Proficiency in the following programs: AutoCAD, SketchUp, Bluebeam, Adobe CS and MS Office
Hand drawing proficiency is highly valued
Characteristics Sought
Strong design sense
A self-starter who can multi-task on several projects at one time
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Willingness to take on various roles typical of a small firm
