Manufacturing Quality Engineer (Salary Range: $172,300/yr - $192,600/yr): Implement quality management systems, process designs and improvements, and new product implementation (NPI). Implement basic and advanced aspects of quality management systems such as CAR/SCAR (Corrective Action Request/Supplier Corrective Action Report) process, performance metrics, documentation release process, and audit process. Develop, configure, and optimize manufacturing processes from inception through to start up and validation. Monitor performance to ensure efficiency and ensure compliance with industry standards. Work closely with product design engineers (mechanical engineers and electrical engineers), manufacturing personnel, test, and maintenance, as well as supply chain teams. Develop and update quality standards. Create incoming quality inspection standards and processes. Define vendor quality management criteria and audit processes. Monitor and analyze quality performance, create reports, and dashboards. Coordinate the quality system rollout with functional managers. Perform risk assessments using tools such as FMEA (failure modes and effects analysis) in order to identify the parts of the process most in need of change. Assess processes, take measurements, interpret data, and develop future state value stream. Conduct and coordinate Lean KAIZEN events. Develop best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical field. 2 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer, Quality Engineer, or a closely related occupation.

SKILLS: Must have:

1. Experience developing and optimizing manufacturing processes (Electronics assembly, incoming inspections, inline functional testing, optical characterization, outgoing quality inspections, machining processes) to gain efficiency and capacity, reduce cost, improve sustainability, and maximize resource utilization.

2. Experience in preparation of engineering-based analytical reports using FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) methodology.

3. Experience writing numerical summaries of data, analyzing data (inference, regression statistical methods), and using statistical techniques/tools (ANOVA, DOE, SPC) to create models identifying areas of improvement for the design and manufacture of mechanical or aerospace structures.

4. Experience complying with health and safety regulations (OSHA) in a manufacturing environment.

5. Experience facilitating quality processes in product development cycle (DVT, PVT, MP) and taking corrective actions in response to supplier and product quality failures.
