We’re a growing firm in the heart of the wine country of Sonoma County, California. We have an exciting opportunity for an architectural designer who shares our commitment to thoughtful design, creative collaboration, and a culture of work/life balance. Our work includes high-end residential projects, restaurants and music venues, retreat centers, and the occasional provocative commercial interior. Our office is a sunny, open storefront in the heart of downtown Sebastopol that doubles as a gallery space, where we also host occasional classes, lectures and other events.

This full-time position provides a tremendous opportunity to design and manage complete projects from start to finish, interacting directly with clients and consultants. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative work setting, has a minimum of 5-8 years of experience, and intimate experience with the details of the design, permit and construction processes. Pay commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

- Participate in all aspects of design from initial client meetings through construction oversight

- Produce schematic presentation and construction drawings

- Lead project team and conduct client meetings

- Collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, and fabricators to ensure a successful outcome of the design process

Qualifications

- Professional degree in Architecture, (or B.A/B.S. degree plus work experience)

- ArchiCAD proficiency (or Revit experience with the desire to learn ArchiCAD)

- Graphic software experience including Photoshop/Illustrator, and experience with presentation renderings

- MS Office proficiency, with excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Strong technical expertise related to design and construction, including experience with construction administration

- Creative problem-solving skills
