Our work includes high-end residential projects, restaurants and music venues, retreat centers, and the occasional provocative commercial interior. Our office is a sunny, open storefront in the heart of downtown Sebastopol that doubles as a gallery space, where we also host occasional classes, lectures and other events.
This full-time position provides a tremendous opportunity to design and manage complete projects from start to finish, interacting directly with clients and consultants. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative work setting, has a minimum of 5-8 years of experience, and intimate experience with the details of the design, permit and construction processes. Pay commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities
- Participate in all aspects of design from initial client meetings through construction oversight
- Produce schematic presentation and construction drawings
- Lead project team and conduct client meetings
- Collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, and fabricators to ensure a successful outcome of the design process
Qualifications
- Professional degree in Architecture, (or B.A/B.S. degree plus work experience)
- ArchiCAD proficiency (or Revit experience with the desire to learn ArchiCAD)
- Graphic software experience including Photoshop/Illustrator, and experience with presentation renderings
- MS Office proficiency, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong technical expertise related to design and construction, including experience with construction administration
- Creative problem-solving skills
