The UCSF Airway Clinical Research Center is seeking adults to participate in an asthma research study. Researchers will study how proteins in the muscle that surrounds airways lead to airway narrowing in asthma.
Participants must be 18-70 years of age and can either have asthma (not on inhaled corticosteroids) or not have asthma. You will come to 2 study visits over approximately 2 weeks. You will also have a medical procedure (called a bronchoscopy) at your second visit. All study visits will take place at the UCSF Parnassus Campus.
You will be compensated approximately $600.00 upon completion of the study. You will also receive parking validation.
If interested, please follow the link at our website http://acrc.ucsf.edu to complete an online screening survey. You may also contact our primary study coordinator at (628) 233-1233. Please refer to this as the "MIBAS Study".
