Living Skills Trainer
ABOUT YOU
Are you a curious person who is a good listener and has great judgment? You might come from a professional or educational background that is very different from this field, but if you love to connect with a diverse range of people in a dynamic, creative way, then you will thrive at ICS! We’ll provide you with on-the-job training every step of the way.
ABOUT THE JOB
Living Skills Trainers provide one-on-one daily living training to individuals with disabilities as they work towards their personal goals and overall independence.
In-home training can range from teaching cooking skills to a young adult who lives with their parents, to providing supervision and conflict resolution between roommates, to helping a senior manage their medication.
With community-based training, you’ll use your skills in prioritization, exercising good judgment and collaborating with a team as you assist clients with tasks such as attending college classes, supporting them at work or volunteer sites, and setting up accommodations with counselors and employers.
