SOUS CHEF FOR MEXICAN CONCEPT - WALNUT CREEK
BAR CAMINO is looking for a Sous Chef to join our amazing Executive Chef to help us train and work with our opening team!
We're looking for a strong and ambitious sous chef who exemplifies leadership and will share our vision of enriching diverse communities through hospitality, food, and beverage refined in Mexican traditions. This is an exciting opportunity to learn from an incredible team and be a key part of our newest restaurant's success!
This position is primarily responsible for the following:
Supporting the Executive Chef with delivering culinary excellence
Maintaining culinary standards set by the group as well as health standards
Streamlining daily production and striving for efficiencies in execution and menu
Train, motivate, and develop the kitchen crew to meet and exceed standards for quality, consistency, and efficiency
Assisting line cooks in executing service
The ideal candidate will possess:
Bilingual Spanish and English
3+ years of experience in high-end and/or high-volume restaurants
Prior supervisory experience preferred
Demonstrated ability to retain composure during times of adversity
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail
Punctuality and reliability are a must
Hands on mentality
