We are looking for one person to join our staff at Cafe Buttery in the Clark Center within Stanford.
Position Summary:
Barista are to assist customers, create drinks, take orders in store, keep the cafe tidy, clean, well stocked and attractive. As well as handle catering orders.
Purpose:
The primary role of the Barista is to create top notch product for our customers. They must be able to answer questions, keep the front of the house clean and neat. These staff members will be the only employees the customers interact with and as such their primary responsibility is to ensure all customers receive good service and have an enjoyable experience. Baristas achieves this goal through fast, courteous, knowledgeable service and by maintaining a clean, pleasant atmosphere.
Requirements:
- Experience preferred but we are willing to teach.
- Must have food servsafe certificate.
Duties:
Crafting and serving a wide variety of high-quality coffee beverages to perfection.
Preparing and serving light breakfast, pastries, sandwich, desserts and cakes
Operating a POS system and handling transactions accurately.
Assisting customers in choosing the right coffee options and offering insights into our menu.
Providing exceptional customer service and building genuine connections with our patrons.
Embracing and maintaining the coffee house's warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Collaborating with the coworkers to ensure a seamless and efficient workflow.
Impeccable appearance
Flexible and willingness to perform in a dynamic, changing environment
Open minded, interested in working with a diversity of customers and coworkers
Maintaining a clean and inviting ambiance in the coffee house.
Can carry up to 50 lb over short distances
Assisting with inventory management and restocking supplies.
Barista experience preferred and on-going training required
