We call ourselves a RESTAURANT DISGUISED AS A CAFE and we're seeking the right person(s) who will excel in both worlds. Do you have a strong Barista and Restaurant/Hospitality background? Do you have third-wave barista skills and an interest in a more dynamic hospitality experience? Do you possess a strong work ethic, don't mind getting your hands dirty, and understand shared responsibility and inter-dependance across a team of responsible and ethical adults? Our goal is to provide great experiences for a community of local and international regulars of all ages and backgrounds. We're a neighborhood cafe that is also a destination for visitors from all over the world.
Currently we need a couple of people with wide-open availability, especially weekday afternoons into evenings. We also host catered events from time to time so a flexible schedule is a must. You'll also need to be 21+ years old to serve beer and wine.
EXPECTATIONS:
You’ve no doubt read the long lists of job expectations for a well run cafe/restaurant - the ads with the 30 bullet points of being able to lift this and mop that. Well, of course we’re just like them with all the work that needs to get done on a daily basis. You’ll learn it all and be able to open and close the shop in no time. If you show up willing and able, we'll teach you everything you need to know. We all do it all at Way Station Brew.
