Position summary:
Tacolicious Palo Alto is currently seeking exceptional individuals with a strong passion for hospitality to join our team. While prior front-of-house restaurant experience is preferred, it is not mandatory. We prioritize personality and professionalism above all else. The main focus of this role is to deliver friendly and attentive service in order to create an outstanding dining experience for our guests. Our ultimate goal is to ensure that every guest has such a fantastic time that they become repeat customers. We are looking to fill 1-2 part-time positions for this role. Pay is minimum wage + tip share.
The overall role of the Bartender at Tacolicious is to:
Welcome and greet guests with genuine hospitality.
Make all our guests feel comfortable and let them know you’re there to take care of them
Make knowledgeable recommendations you genuinely feel the guest will enjoy
Answer questions about food, beverages and other restaurant functions and services.
Take & make beverage orders from guests, fulfill drink tickets for dining room
Produce drinks and service to guest in a timely manner
Perform sidework at the start and end of each shift as required
Maintain clean service areas
Monitor and observe guest dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service. Respond promptly and courtesy to any request
Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, process payment
Be ready and willing to assist fellow team members as situations arise
Thank the guest for their visit and invite to return
Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the management staff
Tacolicious Team member qualities:
Be able to communicate properly
Must be a team player
Must have basic math skills and the ability to handle money and operate point of sale system
Must have basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions
Be able to stand for long periods of time
Able to lift 20-50 pounds regularly
Weekend availability
