Line Cooks are a vital part of the kitchen team. Responsible for the preparation of food and plating of dishes according to the chef’s instructions and menu specifications. In this position, your principal goal will be to prepare high-quality meals that will exceed our guests’ expectations. You will be responsible for setting up your station, stocking inventory, and plating during service, while maintaining the highest sanitation standards. Ultimately, you will play an essential role in contributing to our customers’ satisfaction and the overall success of our restaurant!
Daily Duties:
Report to the executive chef and follow instructions.
Ensure the line is set up and ready for service.
Understand how to prepare the components of each dish on the menu
Make sure food preparation and storage areas meet all state, county, and city health and safety standards.
Maintain a clean station and properly label and store any remaining products
Inventory all products and supplies levels and report to the chef for ordering
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
Certificate in Culinary Arts or 2 years of restaurant experience in a similar position
In-depth knowledge of basic cooking methods and techniques.
Smoking and BBQ experience is a plus.
Excellent communication and organizational skills with an aptitude for multitasking.
Must be able to work cooperatively, respectfully, and efficiently in a team environment.
