30+hours weekly
Monday thru Thursday 7am to 1pm
Fridays 7am to anywhere from 10am to 1pm
Every third week on SATURDAY 4:00pm to 8:00pm
Teamwork is key to meet daily goals and keep compliant with our company, state and federal food safety policies and regulations. In this position you will learn the foundations of Achadinha Cheese Company and you will have the opportunity to be trained across our entire cheese making process with room for advancement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with making cheese according to production schedule
- Maintain a clean and organized production space, cleaning and sanitizing equipment- GMP
- Follow production protocols, weigh and measure all ingredients as specified-GMP
- Assists in the transference of cheese from creamery to packaging
- Assists with preparation for farmers markets and orders
- Identify opportunities for improved efficiency, safety and cleanliness
- Alert supervisor to potential outages of ingredients, packaging, or supplies
SKILLS, ABILITIES and PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Would like person to be familiar and comfortable with machinery; food production and/or dairy plant
experience is helpful but not required.
Required to lift to 50+ lbs.; Regularly, standing, bending, reaching and moving about the facility.
Able to keep up with a fast and efficient work pace.
Enjoys working in team environment.
Scheduling flexibility-mild.
Ability to follow detailed instructions.
Good communication skills, both written and spoken English.
Clean.
Reliable.
Strong independent work habits.
Ability to independently work on assigned tasks and report to Plant Manager.
