Cornerstone is a full service restaurant, bar, beer garden and 500 person music venue for live shows. Located in the heart of Berkeley, Cornerstone is the spot for great food, cheer and music. We are actively recruiting qualified candidates to join our team. Current positions available include FULL time and PART time bartenders and event staff.
Duties:
- Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages, including cocktails, beers, wines, and non-alcoholic drinks
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences
- Mix ingredients to create classic and innovative cocktails
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including stocking supplies and cleaning glasses and utensils
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations while handling food and beverages
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring their satisfaction throughout their visit
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service
- Stay updated on current drink trends and new products in the industry
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year previous experience as a Bartender
- Strong knowledge of various drink recipes and mixology techniques
- Excellent math skills for handling cash transactions
- Outstanding sales skills to upsell drinks and promote specials
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Proficient in time management to ensure timely service for all customers
- Familiarity with Toast POS systems for order processing and payment handling
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere
- Knowledge of food safety regulations in the food industry
