ADMIN ASSISTANT/STAFF SCHEDULER (POTENTIAL OPERATIONS MANAGER IN TRAINING)

Learn how to assist and manage event experiences on luxury yachts right in the heart of the Bay Area. We service multiple ports and host everything from corporate events to wedding and personal parties.
This assistant role will teach you everything about hosting events on a unique niche venue.
The assistant is expected to answer and direct phone calls, assist sales managers with tours, detail planning, and product inventory for all yachts that potentially service over 1000 guests at any given time.
You’ll very quickly learn how to delight the clients, gratify guests, and keep your crew happy, motivated, and on task.
You will also train as our staff scheduler

As a family-owned and operated company, Luxe Cruises and Events was established in 2021, but we have been planning and designing special events and celebrations around the San Francisco Bay area for the past two decades.
Will you be able to?
Be open to following instruction and guidance by learning the operations of the office and learning how a cruise event is booked from the first client meeting, detailing the event, interacting with each client, till the execution of the event itself
Understand and attain each yachts operations by actively cruising on events and working with crew
Strengthen the team you join by supporting the sales managers
Encouraging crew on each cruise and positively interacting with the galley and operations/maintenance team on the yachts
Learning basic sales with the goal of eventually becoming a sales manager in 6-12 months
Adhere to our brand values and style by exemplifying our culture to the team, clients, guests, vendors, and all visitors to our venue
Work a hospitality schedule that typically requires weekend working and long evenings (balanced with late starts and weekday time off)
Does this describe you?
Familiar with hospitality – perhaps you’ve worked in a restaurant, bar, hotel, or event venue environment and can transfer your skills
Happiest among people – hospitality demands that you’re always working to please the customer and interruptions come as standard
Keen and patient to learn – each yacht holds its own differences, and it will take some time to familiarize with every aspect
Organized – time management is a crucial skill and being able to perform well in a fast-paced environment is a must
Computer literate – Outlook, Word, Excel, payment processing and drafting diagrams for each event is a must
Other important notes:
As is typical in the hospitality industry, this position requires regular availability to work evening, weekend, and holiday shifts, as well as shifts of more than 8 hours and workweeks of more than 40 hours.
It is a requirement to be able to cruise events and work as a team when scheduling conflicts arise.
Prior experience as a professional bartender, scheduler, or server is strongly preferred for this position.
