DAYTIME SOUS CHEF
Kantine is a casual, daytime Scandinavian-inspired restaurant where we make food from scratch using organic, local and seasonal ingredients. We're actively looking for a sous chef who wants to work with a great group of people and amazing ingredients in a positive work environment. This job is full-time and available immediately.
We are a team of over twenty individuals who love good food. We make delicious food, we talk about food, we experiment and get inspired by food. And as sous chef, you will be a leader in the kitchen, coordinating staffing, ordering, production and more.
What we seek in the perfect candidate:
A highly self-motivated team player with a positive attitude, and who maintains composure under pressure
Previous managerial experience. We seek to find someone who can lead, manage and inspire our small kitchen team
An enthusiast and initiative-taking attitude
A desire to work mornings and weekends – your evenings are yours!
Culinary degree or college degree preferred with concentration in food preparation, management, nutrition, or equivalent experience as well as ServSafe certification (Knowledge of Scandinavian food isn’t necessary. We can teach you!)
A high level of professionalism while at work, treating all employees with respect
Basic computer skills (Word, Email, Excel)
