Food Service Director For Community Market Natural Foods Store's Deli, Kitchen and Cafe.
Purpose: To develop, oversee and structure all food service programs. To maintain a food service program of quality, great tasting food while upholding our extensive product policy.
Responsibilities:
Establish an efficient kitchen program that addresses the needs of the Market
Stays within Community Market's Product Policy guidelines (see Website for Product Policy www.cmnaturalfoods.com/about-us )
Develop and oversee new food service projects
Maintain a healthy profit margin and labor margin
Follow established product policies
Create menus and recipes
Keep kitchen organized and to code
Ensure accurate order placing and control inventory levels
Ensure pricing meets food cost/margin goals for department
Ensure food produced is seasonally appropriate
Ensure all health and safety standards are adhered to
Must provide meat, vegetarian and vegan options in all areas
Ensure attractive and clean displays
Continue to develop food service program
Financial:
Meet margin, sales and labor goals
Ensure competitive pricing
Ensure inventory is at appropriate levels
Ensure all financial reporting is timely and accurate
Stay within supply budgets
Personnel:
Develop efficient food service schedule
Develop comprehensive training program for food service
Authorize promotions and new hires
Coordinate with HR to fill vacant positions
Conduct timely evaluations of workers
Set goals and vision for department
Create a respectful and team oriented work environment
Other Responsibilities:
Attend all management meetings
Other tasks assigned by the General Manager
Represent the Market in a professional manner
Run an environmentally friendly kitchen
Qualifications:
Five years commercial/retail food service experience
Grab nā Go Production experience
Full Service sandwich counter/ Deli experience
Recipe development experience
Ability to prioritize and delegate
Must be organized and detail oriented
Team oriented positive attitude
Knowledge of procedure development
Open communicator
Dependable and organized
Culinary background
Proficient in organic, vegetarian and vegan foods
Intermediate computer skills
Ability to communicate effectively
Must be positive and friendly
Must be creative
Motivated and passionate about food

Pay: $30.00 per hour
