We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our team at our coffee bar concept. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, exceptional leadership skills, and a strong background in food service management, with a focus in coffee. The job will require early mornings, however will also have a good work/life balance with no evening work required, and weekends off.
Responsibilities:
Overseeing and directing the daily cafe operations, staffing and scheduling (including but not limited to hiring and training)
Create a positive and productive working environment, while fostering the hospitality experience for all guests
Collaborate and work as a team to provide consistent customer service in a dynamic, busy environment
Actively participate in your continued education of our products and training the staff
Craft and serve exceptional food and beverage product
Follow all company policies, procedures, and steps of service and ensure that all staff members are doing as well
Be diligent and take pride in daily operational tasks of opening and closing duties, engaging with guests, cleaning (trash removal, sweeping/mopping, dusting/cleaning surfaces), re-stocking, preparing drinks, cash handling, and food prep
Qualifications:
Experience with coffee, customer service and working in a customer-focused environment
Must be polite, professional and engaging with a passion for hospitality
Ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers and guests
Excellent hygiene and grooming are requirements for this position, must also maintain a neat appearance
Must be able to stand for periods of up to four (4) hours in length. Must be able to reach, bend, kneel and frequently lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
Must have or be able to obtain a Food Handlers Card and Sexual Harassment Training.
