Richmond Yacht Club, a private member-owned Club, is seeking a part time professional, experienced Head Chef/Kitchen Manager. Our Club overlooks the water with unbeatable views of the Bay! We have a bar, offer private parties and dining for our members and guests. Ideal candidate will lead our culinary program serving up creative food dishes and understanding the tastes of our members Fridays through Sundays (most Saturdays) and other days as required. Candidate will also be available to work our Wednesday night races from April through September, including meal prep days, typically Thursdays. This is your chance to show off your culinary skills! We are looking for someone who has a “Can-Do” team oriented attitude and has friendly interpersonal skills. If you have a positive energy with superior hospitality personality, please join us!
Job Functions and Responsibilities (but not limited to):
-Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations
-Responsible for preparing all meals offered
-Manage kitchen staff
-Specials of the week menu development
-Ensure kitchen storage areas and walk-ins are stocked, organized and labeled
-Staff Scheduling
-Monthly Kitchen inventory
-Ordering and Receiving food deliveries
-Manage catering/private events
-Adhere to all Health Department, sanitation, and safety regulations as required.
